Burnham-On-Sea’s MP was the special guest at a fundraising photography exhibition organised by the town’s Guides to raise money for young women in Liberia.
The event was held at Burnham Scout HQ in Stoddens Road and was visited by David Heathcoat-Amory, pictured here, who praised the work of the Guides.
Rachel Burland, Senior Section Guider of High Knoll Ranger Guides, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Girlguiding UK is working in conjunction with Plan-UK to raise funds to build a school for young women in Liberia.”
“The exhibition of photos were all taken by the Guides themselves and we were delighted to have Mr Heathcoat-Amory open the event with County Guide Commissioner Barbara Dale. Over £80 was raised.”
