Brent Knoll Guides learnt all about one of the UK’s latest healt crazes when they visited a garra rufa fish pedicure spa in Burnham-On-Sea this week.
Thirty of the youngsters visited Fishy Feet Spa in Abingdon Street where they were able to sample the treatment, which involves customers immersing their feet in warm water tanks filled with tiny toothless fish called garra rufa which nibble away dead skin.
“It was a very diferent trip out for the Guides, which contributed to their yearly outside activity badge,” leader Jane Synott told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “Everyone found it a fascinating evening – it was a really new experience.”
