Break-in at Burnham baker’s shop prompts appeal for witnesses

Burnham-On-Sea police have this week appealed for witnesses after a break-in at a town centre shop.

Greggs the bakers in the High Street was broken into during the early hours of Thursday morning (September 26th).

Police were called to investigate and it’s believed the intruders fled empty-handed after finding no money left inside the shop.

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to reports of a break-in at a baker’s shop in the High Street which had taken place overnight from Wednesday into Thursday.”

“Nothing was reported to have been taken and police enquiries are continuing. we would like to hear from anyone with information or who may have seen people in the area acting suspiciously around the shop overnight.”
