Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens and Highbride’s Apex Park proudly unveiled their new green flags on Thursday (August 2nd) – the sign of a quality park or green space.
This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
A spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for Marine Cove Gardens and Apex Park.”
“Each flag honours the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the high standards demanded by the Green Flag Award.”
As first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com last month, the two parks have qualified for the award flags this year.
