Burnham-On-Sea Town Council has this week hit out at vandals who have scrawled graffiti over part of the town’s sea wall.
Steam cleaning equipment will have to be used to remove the writing that has been daubed over the wall on the North Esplanade.
Town Clerk Eileen Shaw told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Friday: “It is very disappointing that a small minority of people are doing this.”
“It costs us money to remove the graffiti, meaning that other council services may not receive as much financial support as they should.”
Sedgemoor District Council’s Clean Surroundings Team will be removing the graffiti over the next few days.
