Highbridge has suffered from an ‘epidemic’ of graffiti vandals in recent days with scores of messages daubed across walls, fences and lamp posts – angering residents and local councillors.
As these pictures show, the problem is affecting several areas across Highbridge, and angry residents are calling for action.
One resident, Jason Adams, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A lot of graffiti has been spray painted on walls and fences – a lot more than we’ve previously seen. It does make the town look very scruffy and needs cleaning up.”
And Keith Gough of Highbridge’s St John Ambulance group added: “This wanton vandalism is going to cost St John Ambulance money that could be better spent on medical equipment.”
Burnham-On-Sea.com understands that in one incident this week, a vehicle in the town was damaged when vandals sprayed paint through a hole in a garage wall, leaving paint over a side door.
