Graffiti daubed over walls and a shelter at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens over the weekend is due to be removed this week.
A spokeswoman for Sedgemoor District Council, which manages the seafront gardens, told Burnham-On-Sea on Monday (April 15th) that it is ready to get the tagging removed.
“Our Clean Surroundings Department are aware of this graffiti and will be removing it,” said spokesman Amanda Gibbs.
The council is also investigating CCTV footage following the vandalism, which took place during the early hours of Saturday (April 13th) and was attacked by local residents.
Several walls and business properties have been ‘tagged’ with spray paint, including at Marine Cove, as pictured here.
Police have appealed for witnesses and are asked for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
