An 11-year-old singing star from Brent Knoll has narrowly missed out reaching the final of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
Gracie Wickens-Sweet appeared on the show’s third semi-final on Wednesday night where she sang ‘Reflection’ from the Disney film Mulan.
Her performance won high praise from the judges, with David Walliams saying her performance was “gorgeous” and that he was “enraptured.”
Simon Cowell added: “You just met everything so well, you didn’t miss a note, you got to the big part at the end and you were in control. You’re so charming, I would say that was more than tip top – that was fantastic.”
Amanda Holden said: “You’re just gorgeous, it was beautiful. If you were my daughter now I’d be a mess. You did yourself proud, it was the most beautiful song – better than your audition, which I never thought you would do because it was so stunning.”
Alesha added: “You are such a little superstar. You had the audience in your hands.”
Gracie finished in fifth place following the public vote and, while she did not reach Sunday’s final, she can be hugely proud of getting so far in such a high-profile nationwide competition against top quality competitors.
