The family of a Burnham-On-Sea pensioner has this week thanked a mystery ‘good samaritan’ who came to his help after a mobility scooter accident in the town.
Kevin Street got in touch with Burnham-On-Sea.com to thank the local man who did the good deed for his 85-year-old father at the busy Burnham road junction pictured here.
Kevin says: “I’d like to use Burnham-On-Sea.com to pass on my thanks and gratitude to the gentlemen who helped my father when he overturned his motor scooter whilst trying to manoeuvre around a badly-parked van at the junction of Love Lane and Kingsway Road.”
“Also I’d like to thank the staff at Burnham Medical Centre who made sure he got home safely until we could collect his damaged scooter.”
He added: “My father didn’t manage to get the names of these good citizens so I hope they will read these words and accept my sincere appreciation.”
“Happy New Year to these and all Burnham residents who are willing to put themselves out helping others.”
The incident occurred just before Christmas on December 21st. If you know the ‘good samaritan’, or are the person, contact us here.
