An elderly driver was treated for shock after losing control of her car and crashing into a bungalow in Burnham-On-Sea this evening (Wednesday, January 19th).
Ambulance, fire and police crews rushed to Golf Links Road just after 6.45pm when the red Nissan Micra careered across several gardens and came to a halt next to the front wall of the property.
Residents at the scene told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been a “loud bang” before they looked out and saw the accident.
The owner of the property said the accident had been “a huge shock” for both he and his wife, who were both in the house at the time.
Ambulance crews treated the elderly occupant of the vehicle, whose injuries were not thought to be serious, while fire crews checked the vehicle was safe.
