Burnham hovercraft charity joins fundraising ‘Go Orange Day’

Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercraft charity BARB will be taking part in a nationwide fundraising day for independent lifeboat stations today (Friday, February 18th).

BARB’s seafront station will be open from 10am-4pm to mark ‘Go Orange Day’.

Burnham’s two rescue hovercrafts will be on display and visitors will also be to discuss beach safety with BARB’s crewmembers.

Several schools and nursing homes in the Burnham area will also be holding events to mark the day. The Towans Care Home in Berrow Road, Burnham will be holding a coffee morning to mark the event.

‘Go Orange Day’ is an annual nationwide fundraiser for independent lifeboat stations around the Britain to raise awareness of their work.
