Highbridge pub’s ribbon-cutting marks opening of new facilities

-

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the opening of a Highbridge pub’s new function room and skittle alley on Friday evening (February 12th).

Landlords Margaret Day and Des Griffiths led the opening at The Globe Inn in Newtown Road, where a special launch party was attended by dozens of locals.

“We’re delighted to have opened the new facilities after a year-long project when we’ve had so much support and help from the local community,” Margaret told Burnham-on-Sea.com.

“This amazing project would not have happened without a great deal of hard work of local people.”

Friday’s opening also saw live music from local entertainers Tim Pitman and Breeze. A free buffet was laid on by the pub for the evening as a thank you.
