Highbridge’s Globe Inn given major refurbishment by landlords

-

A Highbridge pub has been refurbished with a fresh new look.

The Globe in Newtown Road has been given a revamp by landlords Mags Day and Des Griffiths, pictured here.

“We have moved the bar, redecorated the inside of the pub, introduced modern new furniture and created extra space for customers,” Mags told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The work has cost several thousand pounds, but we are delighted with the end result and our customers are happy too.”

The bar was previously refurbished more than 20 years ago by the previous landlords, Binny and David Hicks.

The refurb includes the replacement of windows, an extension of the pub and a relocation of the bar and cellar access.

Mags added that the pub’s original glass window has been preserved and is on display in the pub.
