The future of this pub in Highbridge has been plunged into question this week after it was closed down.
The Globe in Newtown Road has been partially boarded up after landlords Sue and Chris Jefferies called time.
Highbridge councillor Joe Leach told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is a great shame that another business in Highbridge has closed.”
“Many people do lose heart when they see sights like this, but the town can – and will – bounce back in time.”
The owners of The Globe are now understood to be seeking new licensees.
