An afternoon of live outdoor music and entertainment attracted large crowds to Berrow on Saturday afternoon (August 22nd).

The first ‘Gig on the Green’ was held on Berrow Village Green – and it was so successful that organisers Mike Wills and Carol Dyer say it is set to become an annual event.

The free concert, which was overseen by Berrow Community Association’s Entertainment Group, featured live music from the Gary French Band, the Lipinski Brothers, Rockin’ Replay and Matt Westcott (pictured above).

“The gig followed on from the very successful Berrow May Fayre which raised in excess of £5,000 for the Berrow Village Hall Project,” the group’s Chairman, Mike Wills, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We hope to have raised a further good sum on Saturday. The good weather and a great line-up of music attracted a big crowds – we were delighted with how it went and hope to put it on again next August.”
