A Burnham-On-Sea man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 20 year-old George Lawson (pictured right).
Adam Lapthorne appeared at Exeter Crown Court on Friday (April 30th) where entered his plea and spoke only to confirm his name.
The 23 year-old will now stand trial on August 2nd in a case that is likely to last around one week.
28-year-old Debbi Huxtable, from Southwell Crescent in Highbridge, who was charged with perverting the course of justice earlier this year, also appeared in court on Friday.
She too was expected to enter a plea, however her case has been adjourned for six weeks and she is due to appear in court on June 11th.
A police officer found the body of Mr Lawson lying on a bed in a flat in Abingdon Street above the Second Stage tattoo shop shortly after 9am on Christmas Eve.
Burnham-On-Sea.com also reported that a post-mortem had found that Mr Lawson, pictured, had suffered 13 stab wounds.
