A 27 year-old Highbridge woman has been arrested by police dealing with the investigation into the murder of Burnham man George Lawson (pictured) on Christmas Eve.
Police said today, Thursday, that Debbi Huxtable, from Southwell Crescent in Highbridge, had been charged with perverting the course of justice.
A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that she had been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
It comes just days after the funeral took place of Mr Lawson at St Andrew’s Church.
Meanwhile, murder suspect Adam Lapthorne is due to appear in court again on February 22nd.
A police officer found the body of Mr Lawson lying on a bed in a flat in Abingdon Street above the Second Image tattoo shop shortly after 9am on Christmas Eve.
