A 24 year-old man has today been sentenced to at least 13 years behind bars after being found guilty of the murder of Burnham-On-Sea man George Lawson.
Adam Lapthorne pleaded guilty to the Christmas Eve murder during a court hearing this afternoon.
The judgement was made at Exeter Crown Court by Judge Graham Cottle, who said he would be jailed for a minimum term of 13 years.
A police officer found the body of George Lawson lying on a bed in a flat in Abingdon Street above the Second Stage tattoo shop shortly after 9am on Christmas Eve.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported earlier this year that a post-mortem had found that Mr Lawson, pictured, had suffered 13 stab wounds.
In summing up, Judge Graham Cottle told the court that Lapthorne displayed no remorse for the act.
