Scores of GCSE students in Burnham-On-Sea were celebrating on Thursday morning (August 24th) when they received their long-awaited results.
Students gathered at the school at 9am to receive their sealed envelopes.
There were squeals of delight as most were delighted with their achievements.
Outstanding results were achieved by a number of students, notably Rosie Fisher who secured four subjects at grade A* and seven subjects at grade A, while Leanne Sweet earned three A*s and three A grades.
King Alfred School headmaster Keith Diffey told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was “extremely pleased” with the school’s results.
“There were a lot of happy students at school this morning. Much hard work was done and the students deserve our congratulations,” he added.
