Staff at the pet and aquatic centre at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll have selected two organisations as their Charities of the Year for 2007.
The garden centre’s pet centre is to run a series of fundraising initiatives for Horse World near Bristol and Secret World near Highbridge during the coming 12 months.
Managing Director at Sanders Garden World Peter Burks explained: “We look forward to working with these two charities on various fundraising schemes to maximise our support for each of them.”
“We have selected charities that are close to the hearts of the staff at the Centre. We applaud the work of these charities and hope we can raise as much money as possible to help with their fundraising efforts.”
Secret World focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. Its mission is to return all animals to the wild or find them suitable homes.
And Horse World is an equine charity that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses, ponies and donkeys in need.
