Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to tackle a blaze in a garage and outbuilding on Tuesday evening (February 4th).
Two appliances from Burnham and a third from Bridgwater were sent to Kingsway Road at 4.15pm.
“Crews found a domestic garage and outbuilding on fire to the rear of a domestic property,” said a fire spokesman.
“Two main jets were used to surround the fire and gas cylinders were removed from the property.”
“Minor asbestos was involved in the fire and the Environmental Health team were informed.”
An electrical appliance inside was damaged, along with the structure of the building. Police were also in attendance and the cause of the fire is unknown.
Kingsway Road was temporarily closed by police while emergency services were on scene.
