£1.6m Burnham leisure club hailed a success after busy first year

-

Over 500 people have signed up as members to a multi-million pound Burnham-On-Sea leisure club during its first year of operation.

Fusion opened in the grounds of Home Farm Holiday Park last January and, since then, the facility has grown in popularity.

Owner Steve Atkinson told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “It’s now been just over 12 months since we opened and we’re delighted with the progress.”

“We have signed up over 500 local members and are growing each day.”

“Although we didn’t know whether the local area was going to accept this new facility, we are delighted with the way it has been welcomed.”

“Over the past 12 month we have been able to add extra aqua-aerobics, toddler and child swimming classes, plus personal fitness classes.”

He added: “Since opening, we have also been able to invest back into the local community by sponsoring Burnham’s First and Second football team shirts, and paying for the advertising signs for the Burnham and Highbridge’s Carnival.”
