A special event celebrating fruit is to be held at a Brent Knoll garden centre next weekend.
Sanders Garden World is holding a ‘Juicy Fruits Weekend’ on Saturday August 14th and Sunday August 15th for anyone who is interested in growing their own produce.
Peter Burks, General Manager, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “During our Juicy Fruits Weekend we will have a display of fruit trees and bushes in our undercover bedding area for people to see.”
“Members of staff will also be on hand to offer tips on choosing the right fruit tree for your garden. They will also be giving complimentary advice on how to keep trees free from pests and diseases.”
“Our horticultural experts will be able to answer visitors’ questions on how to make sure apples, pears and soft fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants, are ripe and ready to be picked. They will also be offering advice on pruning fruit trees and canes.”
The event takes place on Saturday from 10am until 6pm and on Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
