-

The Friends of Apex Park in Highbridge are looking for more volunteers to join their group in order to continue to improve the popular park.

The group’s aim is to promote the use of the park and to help, protect and enhance it as a place of freedom, recreation, wildlife habitat and enjoyment for all sections of the local community.

The Friends group meets regularly every 6-8 weeks and works closely with Sedgemoor District Council.

“If you’re interested in finding out further information about what the ‘Friends’ do, please attend the Friends of Apex Park’s AGM meeting at the Apex Park’s office (inside Apex Park’s car park) on Wednesday 15th May at 2pm followed by the Friends meeting at 2.30pm,” said a spokesman.

“Recent events include litter picking as part of the Great British Spring Clean, hedge clearing, bulb planting and Play Day this August is always an event that need lots of support.”

To express your interest in attending the meeting, contact Marina Turner at parks@sedgemoor.gov.uk
