Sixth formers at Highbridge’s King Alfred School have been taking part in a university-style Freshers’ Fortnight as they begin the new academic year.
Organised by the sixth form committee, events included team-building challenges, a quiz night, a party at the Watchfield Inn, film night and a curry in Burnham.
“Students from the two year groups have successfully integrated and enjoy the friendly atmosphere in the sixth form,” Jonathan Gaskell, Head of Sixth Form, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He added that the sixth form committee are busily preparing for Rag Week, which starts on 7th December. Their aim is to beat the £4,000 they raised last year for good causes.
