A free outdoor music event will take place in Burnham-On-Sea today (Sunday, June 2nd) when Chill In The Park comes to the Manor Gardens.
The event, which takes place from 12.30pm-5.15pm, will see a number of local groups playing in front of crowds of spectators in the gardens.
Organiser Mike Murphy from CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the event, which was previously called Jazz In The Park, “promises to be a great event.”
“Back by popular demand, we will have the gorgeous sounds of Eminem and we are delighted to give a salute to blues harp and jazz trumpet group, Ron King’s Rhythm Aces jazz n blues quartet,” he said.
“There will also be swing and cafe band style music from six-piece Daft Folk featuring Becky on vocals who is sure to get your feet dancing.”
“Headlining this year is the ever-popular Dry White Bones who will finish the day with a barn-storming set.”
“We will also have the finest burger cart and pancake stall together with the Brodericks devilishly good ice cream bicycle.”
“The ever-present kids area will be there with face painting and hair braiding and their cups stall with floral hair accessories, henna hair styling and shawls. There will also be a bouncy castle and slide plus a bar with real ales, Rich’s cider, wines and mixed drinks.”
