Television presenter and singer Fred Wedlock will be performing a show in Highbridge on Saturday evening (September 13th).
The West Country singer and comedian, who has been on many TV and radio programmes over the years, will be performing a night of music and laughs at Highbridge Community Hall at 7pm.
He began his career as a folk singer and recorded 20 LPs and singles. His albums include The Folker (1971), Frolicks (1973), Out of Wedlock (1978), The Oldest Swinger in Town (1981) and Fred Wedlock Live (1982).
Fred has also appeared on several national TV shows over the years, including Top Of The Pops, Pebble Mill, Tizwas, That’s Life, Children In Need, MTV and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
He has written and presented several TV documentaries and entertainment shows, including ITV West’s community action series The Good Neighbour Show, which ran for ten years during the 1990s.
In July 1997, he presented and performed music on the HTV series On the Waterfront and also presented HTV’s Trade It in 1999 and 2000. More recently, he presented The Bargain Hunters on ITV West in 2002 and 2003.
Tickets for Saturday’s show are available on the door at £10 each.
