Diversion signs at a controversial Burnham-On-Sea road junction are set to be repaired during the next fortnight after being damaged in a car accident.
Skid marks leading up to the junction indicate the vehicle had been travelling at speed when it crashed along The Frank Foley Parkway, near the town’s Tesco supermarket.
The controversial road junction is rarely out of the news as the road remains half completed, with traffic unable to get through to Highbridge via Pepperal Road because of the barriers.
This latest accident is one of several to have occurred at the spot in recent years. Road markings were introduced at the junction in June this year to try and make it safer.
