Four fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were called out last night (Tuesday) to a blaze involving a burger van and a large wood store.
Crews were called to Chapel Road in Pawlett at 8.35pm after a resident raised the alarm.
A fire spokesman said: “One fire appliance from Bridgwater and one from Burnham-On-Sea was sent to a report of a van on fire.”
“On arrival, crews confirmed that the fire involved a van and that it also involved a large wood store.”
“A Water Carrier was requested and this was sent on from Bridgwater. The wood store involved measured approximately 15 metres x 15 metres.”
“A further two fire appliances were requested and so these were sent on from Bridgwater and Burnham, making a total of four fire appliances attending.“
“The wood store and van were damaged by fire and crews used a hose reel jet and three main jets to extinguish it.”
