Air ambulance lands in Burnham-On-Sea to help injured footballer

-

An air ambulance flew into Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday afternoon (April 8th) to help an injured footballer after an accident.

The man was playing on the grounds next to the BAY Centre when he suffered a serious leg injury.

The ambulance service was called to the scene and an air ambulance also flew in, landing on the fields next to the BAY Centre, as pictured here.

A Burnham FC spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Sadly one of the players suffered a serious leg injury and was flown to Musgrove Hospital in Taunton. There was a very quick response by the ambulance crews – they were superb.”

He wished the player a speedy recovery on behalf of the club.
