Berrow Junior Football Club players welcomed a surprise VIP spectator over the weekend.
England and Arsenal defender Casey Stoney visited the club’s ground at the Red Road playing fields.
Casey visited the area ahead of the Arsenal Women’s Super League fixture against Bristol Academy.
Her visit coincided with Berrow U12 Girls’ first league fixture of the season against Bishop’s Lydiard.
“It was great to welcome Casey to the club and both teams enjoyed the opportunity for photos with her. She also chatted with our U6 squad, who were training at the same time,” said a spokesman.
