Budding football stars of the future will be able to show off their skills at a special event in Burnham-On-Sea this weekend.
Two free-of-charge FA Skills Days are taking place on Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August at the Tesco store in Ben Travers Way from 11am-6pm.
Boys and girls aged 5 -11 years will be able to take part, testing their skills on a number of inflatable football games, such as target practice and speed shooting, as well as a special pitch.
In addition to the games, specialist FA Skills coaches will be available to give guidance and tips to youngsters who attend on Friday.
Tesco Store Manger David Newton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This event will be a big success. There is an FA Tesco skills centre nearby at Bridgwater which is hugely beneficial, however on this particular day football skill training is coming to our store itself.”
He added: “This is a fabulous opportunity for children to perfect their football techniques.”
“Boys and girls of all abilities will get the chance to practice new skills with Tesco FA Skills and there is no doubt the day will be a lot of fun.”
The FA Tesco Skills Programme is a three year nationwide programme, co-ordinated by the FA and funded by Tesco and the National Sports Foundation aiming to give top quality skills coaching to one million children by summer 2010.
