More than 60 exhibitors and five demo chefs will take part in the Burnham-On-Sea Food & Drink Festival on Saturday May 25th – and Wednesday’s event at Benton Furniture in Highbridge provided a taste of what will be happening.
Dozens of food and drink producers from across the region will converge on the town for the free festival, to be held at Burnham’s Baptist Hall and The Princess Theatre, with fringe events across the town.
The organisers, Bev and Sarah Milner Simonds, welcomed some of the local exhibitors to this week’s preview, including Burnham-based fudge maker Jonathan Walter.
There will also be a cider making competition and baking contest this year, as featured here.
“There’s lots of interest and excitement growing around the festival – the plans are coming together well. It promises to be another fantastic event,” said Bev.
The event’s free programme will also be available shortly from Burnham tourist information centre on the seafront.
