‘Best ever’ Burnham FolkFest comes to an end after four-day festival

-

Hundeds of people crowded into Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Sunday for the finale of this year’s FolkFest music festival which has been hailed as the ‘best yet’.

Organisers said the ninth annual event, which started on Thursday, has been hugely successful with record crowds through the weekend, including on Saturday, as we reported here.

Burnham’s Manor Gardens saw one of its biggest-ever turnouts on Sunday, as pictured here, as sunny weather attracted large numbers of families to the final afternoon of the popular festival.

Visitors on Sunday enjoyed performances by Steve James, Sun Dog Days, local stars Fallen Apples, pictured above, folk duo The Drystones, and the bhangra band RSVP.

Folkfest Chairman Dom Wills told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It has been a really cracking weekend – we have had some great quality, varied entertaianment over the four days. There were big crowds on each day in the town and everyone has enjoyed themselves – we thank them all for their support.”
