Burnham-On-Sea’s MP was among a capacity audience at the opening performance of the town’s annual FolkFest last night (Thursday).
Tessa Munt was among 120 people who crowded into the The Ritz Acoustic Club in Victoria Street for the festival’s first event, a concert by faux-French group Fromage En Feu.
“We were delighted to get the festival off to a great start in front of a capacity audience at the opening performance which saw Fromage En Feu put on a fantastic show,” Folkfest Chairman Dom Wills told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The entertainment continues today (Friday) at The Princess Theatre with a performance by the renowned Urban Folk Quartet, four super-accomplished musicians dealing in folk, roots and even classical, with plenty of humour thrown in. Tickets, priced £10, are on sale at The Princess. Full Folkfest preview here.
