£400 raised for Burnham-On-Sea’s Folkfest at Phantom screening

-

A special screening of The Phantom Of The Opera at Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Cinema on Monday (April 28th) raised hundreds of pounds towards the costs of running the town’s Folkfest.

The Ritz in Victoria Street screened a full stage version of the show, which was filmed before a live audience at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 to celebrate Phantom’s 25th anniversary.

“The event at the Ritz was a great success,” FolkFest Chairman Dom Wills told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The screening raised £400 towards our costs of holding Burnham’s annual music festival, which this year takes place between August 28th and 31st.”

“After the recent Easter music extravaganza this was another great result for us and we’d like to thank everyone who came along and especially cinema owners Pat and Beryl Scott for their continued support.”
