Highbridge town centre will play host to an afternoon of live outdoor music concert today (Sunday, August 4th).
Folk On The Green will be held next to Highbridge Community Hall in Market Street from 1pm until 5pm.
Local musician Nicky Swann, pictured, returns by popular request. She has just released her second album ‘How does your land lie’ and is the winner of Spiral Earth Best Original Song for ‘Because of You’.
She will be supported by local blues specialists Nick and Chris Elswood, Dave ‘Busker’ Harris and multi-instrumentalist Sam Patten.
The final free event of the CADS events 2013 season includes free parking in the town’s Bank Street car park next to the green.
Chairman Mike Murphy said: “Following the great success of the CADS events in Burnham’s Manor Gardens this year, this is a final chance to enjoy some quality acoustic music in the open air on the Green in Highbridge.”
There will also be the usual bar serving real ale, cider and soft drinks at special low prices on the day, and everyone attending will be given a free raffle ticket with a chance to win fun prizes.
