Fundraising flautists boost community centre’s refurbishment

-

An afternoon of flute music raised £140 towards the refurbishment of Burnham-On-Sea’s Community Centre on Sunday (June 20th).

Over 40 people attended the successful concert, performed by local group Flutations, which was organised by The Friends of Burnham Community Centre.

Ken Hindle, Chairman of Burnham and Highbridge Community Association, which oversees the building, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a superb concert and we were delighted that £140 was raised for the community centre. Thanks go to everyone who supported the event.”

He said the centre’s next fundraising event will be a murder mystery evening on July 23rd. Tickets, priced £7.50 each and including a meal, have just gone on sale at the centre.
