Highbridge flower bed design unveiled as contest winners are named

A colourful new flower bed that was designed by a group of youngsters as part of a competition has been formerly unveiled in Highbridge this week.

The team at Highbridge In Bloom organised a painting competition with Churchfield School to encourage pupils to paint a design for the Badge Bed at Jubilee Gardens besides the town clock.

First Prize was won by Ewan Lyes, 6, second was Aleisha Summers, and third was Tali Knight and fourth was Edward Aylford.

A ceremony to unveil the new bed was held on Thursday afternoon, as pictured here. Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Cllr Martin Cox was unable to attend but praised the youngsters for their superb efforts in decorating the flower bed.
