These were the scenes in East Brent this morning (Wednesday) as Burnham-On-Sea fire crews battled to save properties from flooding.
Police closed Brent Road, the main road through the village, as firefighters were called to pump out flood water from homes, gardens and roads.
Several properties suffered flooding after the torrential rain, leaving Burnham fire crews with the job of moving the water into a nearby rhyne.
