The organisers of Burnham-On-Sea’s annual seafront fireworks display are promising a spectacular show tonight (Sunday).
Starting at 6.30pm, the 20-minute display will be accompanied by a line-up of stirring hit music from the past few decades. The fireworks will launched from a specially-made platform on the jetty.
Forecasters say the weather for tonight’s display will be chilly, with temperatures of six degrees Centigrade, but it should remain dry.
Skyburst, who are running tonight’s display, say it will be a “really special” display with a wide range of dazzling fireworks.
The event, overseen by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council, will be free of charge thanks to local business sponsorship, however spectators will be encouraged to give donations to the Rotary Club charity collectors along the seafront.
This year’s sponsors include Home Farm Holiday Park, Positive Wealth Creation, Retreat Caravan Park, Beachside Holiday Park, Highbridge Caravans and PJ Harris Funeral Services.
