The organisers of Burnham-On-Sea’s annual seafront fireworks display are promising a spectacular show tonight (Sunday, November 11th).
This year’s event will begin at 7.30pm on The Esplanade with a dazzling fireworks show set to a line-up of classical and modern music.
Burnham’s Town Clerk, Eileen Shaw, said this afternoon that the display would be starting at 7.30pm as planned and that light onshore winds were not an issue.
The fireworks will be fired into the sky from the town’s jetty by Skyburst Illuminations.
The event will be free of charge thanks to the sponsorship of local firms, however spectators are being encouraged to give donations to the charity collections being run by Burnham Rotary Club.
Large crowds are expected to line The Esplanade to watch the display, which is organised by Burnham and Highbridge Town Council on the night before the annual Burnham-On-Sea Carnival.
Burnham-On-Sea.com will have the very latest on the weather during Sunday, should the conditions risk affecting the display
