The organisers of Burnham-On-Sea’s annual seafront fireworks display are promising a spectacular show when it takes place this Sunday evening (November 4th).
Starting at 6.30pm, the 20-minute display will be accompanied by a line-up of stirring hit music tracks from the past few decades. The fireworks will launched from a specially-made platform on the jetty.
Skyburst, who are running the display, say it will be a “special” display with a wide range of dazzling fireworks.
The event, on the night before the Burnham-On-Sea Carnival, is overseen by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council and will be free of charge thanks to local business sponsorship. Spectators will, though, be encouraged to give donations to the Rotary Club charity collectors.
Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Mayor, Cllr Bill Hancock, will announce the countdown to the display starting at 6.30pm.
The public viewing area will be from The Esplanade, with the beach forming part of the exclusion zone.
However, this may have to be extended, as in previous years, depending on weather factors and wind directions on the night.
