A scaffolding platform has been built on Burnham-On-Sea’s jetty to enable thousands of fireworks to be launched during a spectacular display on Sunday evening (November 7th).
The display will start at 6.30pm, and the platform is in place to allow the fireworks to be launched despite the high tide.
The 20-minute fireworks display will be accompanied by a line-up of hit music from the past few decades.
A spokesman from Skyburst Illuminations told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s going to be a great display this year – we have several new fireworks and, with the tide nearby, some of the fireworks will be reflected on the beach and water which will add to the overall effect.”
The event, overseen by Burnham and Highbridge Town Council, will be free of charge, however spectators will be encouraged to give donations to the charity collectors along the seafront.
Burnham-On-Sea.com is among the sponsors of this year’s display, alongside Home Farm holiday park, the Taste of the Orient Chinese restaurant, Barrington & Sons solicitors, plus financial advisors Positive Wealth Creation.
