A fun-filled race night is to be held tonight (Saturday) to raise funds for Burnham-On-Sea’s annual fireworks display.
The event will be held at the Oaktree Arena in Highbridge and will be compared by a local entertainer.
“Unlike most race nights there will be the chance to get very involved and actually become a horse for a race,” organiser Jordan Jones told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“There will also be a tote for the evening so you’ll be able to place small bets on the horses and you will also be able to purchase the horses for a race.”
Tickets are being sold at the Oaktree at £10 per person to include a cold meat buffet. All proceeds will go directly towards the 2014 Burnham Firework Fund. The event will start at 7 for 7.30pm.
