A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew was sent to West Huntspill on Tuesday morning (August 18th) to tackle a deliberate blaze.
One fire engine rushed to the Ringstone play area at 7.20am after a nearby resident raised the alarm.
Fire spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A large quantity of rubbish, including a wheelbarrow, tyre and other items were deliberately set on fire.”
“One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze and the district council has been alerted.”
Anyone with information about who started the blaze should contact local police.
