Firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle alight at Sedgemoor services on the M5 nar Burnham-On-Sea this morning (Thursday).
The incident, between junctions 21 and 22 of the motorway, occurred just before mid-day.
Two appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and Cheddar were sent to the scene, along with a water carrier from Bridgwater.
A fire service spokesman said: “On arrival crews confirmed there had been a small fire in the engine compartment and used one hose reel jet to extinguish it.”
