Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a Highbridge home last night (Thursday, March 17th).
One fire engine was sent to the Poplar Estate at 10.30pm to extinguish a blaze within an outbuilding on the side of a home, as pictured here.
Water jets were used to extinguish the fire and damp down the building.
A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A hot barbecue set that had been used earlier in the day had been stored away in the outbuilding and this is what is thought to have caused the fire.”
A heat seeking camera was used to check for any remaining hot spots before the crews declared the building safe.
