A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew was called out to tackle this ‘deliberate’ blaze in the town on Sunday evening (November 5th).
Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to Mendip Way at around 7.45pm.
A fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to a hedge and tree on fire at the front of a property which we believe may have been set deliberately by a passer-by.”
“One fire appliance was sent to the scene and our crew used a single hose reel jet to extinguish it.”
“A 10ft section of hedge was damaged, along with a street light.”
Anyone with information about the cause should call Burnham Police via 101.
