Vehicles on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea were forced to slown down on Wednesday evening (July 19th) when thick smoke from a factory fire spread across both carriageways.
Two fire crews from Burnham rushed to Avon Salt just off the A38 near Edithmead Lane to tackle the fire.
These photos show the blaze in progress just after 6pm – minutes before fire crews arrived on scene.
